They are picky eaters, neglecting fresh fruit that other roaches eat readily. The adult males have the characteristic orange glow spots on their pronotum, females don’t. The glow spots are mostly glowing in wild roaches. Most likely It has to do with their diet and others have tried to feed them various food items in order to get that glow in the dark, with no luck however. The nymphs are shiny with orange heads and if they are not eating they remain buried into the substrate.
